Weekend in Nevada, MO

This weekend we went to Nevada to visit Grandma Rhonda, Pepa, aunt Kim and cousins Zach and Phoebe. We enjoyed Saturday with them and left Sunday to eat lunch with Grandma Becky and Larry. It was a nice weekend and the girls really seemed to have fun.

Feeding the Ducks at the Park

One weekend we went to the park to feed the geese and ducks and play on the swings. The girls seemed a little afraid of the geese as they were getting a little too close to us, so they sat on top of the picnic table. We went through a half a loaf of bread in less than 5 minutes.

While Ashlyn was taking her evening bath, Breckyn decided to take Ashlyn's clean pajamas and underwear off her bed and dress herself. I found her like this.

Labor Day Weekend in Tennessee

During Labor Day weekend we drove to Tennessee to visit my dad and Janice. We arrived Thursday night and left for a long trip home on Monday. The girls did really well in the car, too! We had such a great time with them during those days as we went fishing and relaxed around the house. We also visited my stepbrother Alex, his wife, Megan, and their daughter, Maylee, as well as my other stepbrother, Ben. It was good to see them all and our girls enjoyed playing with Maylee. Of course, the weekend seemed to fly by, but I took a few pictures of our trip.

Ronnie, Dad, and I drove down to a pond close to their house and caught lots of catfish on Friday and Saturday evening. I think between us all we caught 20 catfish, me catching the biggest one weighing in at 6 pounds. That's the biggest fish I ever caught and I was pretty excited! Dad did a good job of cleaning all of our fish for us and we took home lots to cook up for later.

We also went to a local festival where Ashlyn got a balloon hat.


There was a park close by in which the girls enjoyed.







During our last night there Dad and Janice cooked us up a nice meal in which Alex, Megan, Maylee, and Ben joined us. Dad and Janice fried some of the catfish we caught and it was delicious. After we ate, Ashlyn and Maylee decided to have a talent show and Breckyn got in on it, too. The girls dressed up in Mimi's clothes and sang and played their guitars. There may be some stars in our future.
