On Friday morning we left for Tennessee to Grandpa Steve and Mimi's house. We went for the weekend to attend my step-brother, Ben, and Nikki's wedding. The drive there went fairly well with the kids. Miles slept the entire time, only waking up to eat, however Breckyn kept messing with Ashlyn a lot of the time. We arrived to TN around 5:30 P.M. in which we were greeted by Uncle Daryl and Aunt Judy. They had arrived before we did. Grandpa Steve and Mimi were at the rehearsal dinner late that night. It was nice catching up with them that evening.
On Saturday morning my Aunt Carolyn, Uncle Darold, their kids, Jennifer and Natalie, and my Aunt Marilyn, Uncle Donald, their kids, Sarah, Craig, and Ryan all arrived at the house. We visited with them for awhile before we had to get ready for the wedding. In the afternoon we left for the wedding which was about an hour away. It was held at Ben's employer's estate. He works for the man that started and owns the "Dollar General" stores. When we arrived we drove through a big extravagant gate. The property was beautiful. The wedding was held outside by a large pond with beautiful swans. The weather was perfect. We enjoyed the ceremony and reception that was held inside a large barn. We stayed at the reception until 10:00 P.M. and left because the kids were getting really tired. I tried to take lots of pictures of the kids while we were there. I think I got some good ones. We really enjoyed the wedding and seeing everyone. On Sunday morning we ate breakfast with all my aunts and uncles, cousins, and my step-brother, Alex, his wife, Megan, and their daughter, Maylee. Afterwards we took a picture out on the bridge all together. That afternoon we hung out with Grandpa Steve and Mimi until about 4:30 P.M. and then left to drive home. The kids did awesome on the way home and we made it in around 2:00 A.M. It was an enjoyable weekend, everything went smoothly, and the wedding was beautiful. So glad we were able to go!
