Weekend in Springfield

Last weekend we went to Springfield, MO to meet up with Grandma Rhonda, aunt Kim, uncle Mark, and cousins, Zach and Phoebe. Ronnie's dad was bowling in a tournament there, so we decided to all go to spend some time together. We went up Saturday morning and spent the afternoon at the "Discovery Center", a children's science museum. The kids absolutely loved it but the adults were worn out by the time it was over. We then ate some yummy Italian food and went back to the hotel to relax in the hot tub while the kids swam. On Sunday, we enjoyed the afternoon by doing some shopping. It was fun to get out of the house and spend some time with family. I'm glad we got to do it! Thanks, Rhonda. :)

Valentine's Day Festivities and Breckyn walks!

So Valentine's Day has rolled around once again and Ashlyn had to make some things for school. During our many snow days, Ashlyn had the chance to make her Valentine's Day box, as well as valentines for her classmates. She was very proud of her box when she was finished and to her surprise, many kids in her class commented on how pretty it was! According to Ashlyn, she had the best box of the group and she did most of it by herself. She had heart stickers to put on there and thought of the idea to make a pattern with them. During her Valentine's Day party she got lots of cards and treats, which made her very happy! She was looking forward to that day for a LONG time.

It's official. Breckyn is walking like a pro now at 14 months old. Who needs crawling? She is walking everywhere by herself and thinks she is big stuff. She started walking about two weeks ago during our snow days. Luckily we were both around to witness it. Of course she always has to have something in her hands when she's walking around and it's usually a stuffed animal. Here's some pictures from the last couple of weeks.

Breckyn didn't miss out on the Valentine's Day festivities. She got to enjoy a sucker. It was such a mess!

Walking around with her bear and "Gus", the gorilla.

Ashlyn was so thrilled and proud of her when she first started walking. She always says, "Look! Breckyn's walking!". And we are like, "Yes Ashlyn we know. She's been walking for two weeks now." Such a proud big sister.

Bathtime!

Tonight Breckyn took a bath in our jacuzzi tub for the first time. Ashlyn helped entertain her. Breckyn kept putting her face down in the bubbles and that's how she ended up with a "bubble goatee".

This is such a funny face, but I had to put it on here because I thought it was cute!

What a little stinker!

Our Snowman

Today we built a snowman outside. The snow was perfect today for snowman making, so Ashlyn and I did the dirty work of rolling the snow in shape of his body while daddy added the finishing touches.

Before daddy got to the snowman. Ashlyn standing proudly by her creation.

After daddy got to the snowman. Notice his Chiefs hard hat and golf club. Looks like he's ready to tee off!
