Last weekend we went to Branson to stay at the Welk Resort Lodge. It had an indoor and outdoor water park that was included so we spent much of Saturday swimming. Friday night we arrived before dinner time to check in and get situated in our room, then headed off to the Brason strip to eat and check out the kiddie rides for the girls. Ashlyn enjoyed riding the train, spinning teapots, and go-carts, while Breckyn rode on the "baby rides" as Ashlyn would say. We then went back to the lodge and relaxed the rest of the evening in the room. Later in the evening my cousins, Brandon and Taylor, and their daughter, Paisley, arrived to the hotel. We woke up the next morning and went swimming at the water park until the little girls were exhausted and ready for naptime. After recooperating, we all went to the Branson strip. Our family went to check out the Dixie Stampede. We didn't have tickets but we looked around and took pictures with the horses outside in their stables. We then met up with Brandon, Taylor and Paisley to go to the Wax Museum and Maze of Mirrors which were both very interesting I must say; going through a maze with tricky mirrors was not easy with a stroller, especially when your husband in front of you is trying to mess with you ;). It was fun but by then we were ready to go back to the resort then go eat dinner. We ate some good barbecue and stuffed ourselves, then went back to go swimming some more. Before we knew it it was dark and we all went back to our room to shoot off fireworks and visit with each other. Breckyn went to bed fairly early, however Ashlyn and Paisley stayed up super late! The next morning we checked out and went to the outlet malls for some shopping. We didn't stay to long as the girls we both pretty worn out. We definitely had a great time while we were there and were happy Brandon, Taylor and Paisley could join us!
