Saturday Softball Game

Today Ashlyn had a softball game and this time I remembered the camera. Grandma Rhonda and Pepa joined us. Ashlyn played really well, even hitting a ball almost to the fence! We then celebrated with a nice lunch afterwards.

Running to first base.

Just hit, throwing bat down.

Playing pitcher. Lots of hits came to her and she threw it to first.

Testing height of tee.

Getting in her stance. This is the hit she whacked into the outfield.

Running home.

Breckyn did well sitting and watching.

Now she's playing first base. Throwing it home.

So Far This Week...

Ashlyn got a surprise in the mail from cousins, Taylor and Brandon Gartner. Thank you guys! She loves the owl and has it sitting on her shelf. A perfect addition to her room.

Ronnie was reading to the girls one night. Breckyn cried when I tried to pick her up to change her diaper. She was very content sitting beside her daddy.

Breckyn playing on her rocking horse.

I couldn't resist posting a picture of Ashlyn doing the same thing 5 years ago. My time flies.

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend had finally arrived! We were looking forward to seeing our families and spending time with all of them. Friday night we drove to Grandma and Grandpa Tullis's house and spent the night and morning with them. Grandma had a nice dinner waiting for us when we arrived. Thank you Grandma! We enjoyed our time with you and Grandpa!
We left for Grandma Wiley's house sometime in the morning and spent some time with my dad, Janice, Taylor, and Grandma Wiley. Grandpa Steve was pushing Ashlyn on the swing while Breckyn was riding her 4-wheeler that Grandpa and Mimi brought her. Then we walked over to the barn so uncle Scott could show the girls and Taylor the new calf that was born a few days ago. He was so cute and Breckyn kept calling the calf "Lola" because she calls anything with four legs "Lola" (because of our dog).
Closer to lunch time we drove over to my aunt Carolyn and uncle Darold's house for a family dinner. We ate dinner and had an Easter egg hunt in the afternoon for all the kids and the girls seemed to really enjoy themselves. Ashlyn made a mad dash for the eggs while Ronnie and I helped Breckyn along to find eggs. Breckyn slowly picked up eggs and placed them in her basket. Ashlyn seemed to have fun playing with her cousins and was sad when we had to leave.
Around 4:00 we left for Grandma Rhonda and Pepa's house. We arrived around 6:00 and ate yet another meal which was delicious. We stayed the night on Saturday and awoke to another Easter egg hunt in the living room for the girls and Ronnie's sister's children, Zach and Phoebe. They then opened gifts that the Easter Bunny had left. Our family and Ronnie's Grandma then went to church and headed back for lunch at Ronnie's parent's house. We stuffed ourselves and began yet another Easter egg hunt outside in which the girls gathered lots of Easter eggs. If that wasn't enough candy we then did a pinata outside. We definitely enjoyed our time with family this weekend as we haven't seen a lot of our family in months. Here's some pictures from the weekend.
